Glad you're here...

May 14th 2015
- Note a couple of changes to the tour details: in Bath we are now at the Royal Oak, as the Hive has closed sadly. But the Royal Oak is going to be great, so it's not all doom.... And our gig in Exeter is actually in Topsham, by the old docks - so it's that Globe, not the one in Exeter.

April 2015 - check out the tour poster designed by Kate - As we head into June, Heed the Thunder will be wending south through Herefordshire towards the sun & sea…. 28th May - The Dukes, Presteigne 4th June - The Hive, Bath 5th June - The Globe, Exeter 6th...

March 2015  and our plans for a little trip to the South West have taken shape. First weekend of June, and we'll be visiting Bath, Exeter, and Redruth. Thanks very much to the venues and promoters accommodating us - looking forward to it very much. See the Shows page for more detail. Plenty more gigs in the meantime in Herefordshire and the borders...

January 2015 ... new year, and it's time for the official album launch - January 12th. Some nice reviews are already in - head over to the Reviews page to check out what the cognoscenti are saying...

We're off to Bishops Castle to join an amazing line up at the Three Tuns this weekend (see gig listings) then the following week playing an in store at the wonderful Carnival Records in Malvern, with Harp and a Monkey. More gigs are being booked - watch this space....

October 2014   and we're now looking at an official release date for the album - probably January 2015. And starting to plot some gigs and probably some busking to support it. We like playing outdoors. It makes us happy. And we've got a lovely gig with the inestimable Sharron Kraus and Harret Earis at Canon Frome Court on December 10th to be going along with.

September 2014: only 7 months after gathering on a very cold weekend in north Norfolk, the new album is here in all its physical and aural corporeality. Or something. The important thing is it looks and sounds amazing, and we're ready to start playing around the country and offering it personally to the good people of this land. It's over on the Bandcamp site and we think it would be a good idea to head over there with your computer or mobile smart phone device as soon as convenience and propriety allows. Do, really.

April 2014: So the big news is we have spent a fantastic time with Hieronymus Melchers at the Bake House studio in Norfolk, and emerged with the makings of the next album. The mixing isn't finished yet, and the album doesn't have a title yet, but we've got a sneak preview of four of the tracks over on our Soundcloud site. The sound this time is a development from the last album. Although the core is still the three of us in the studio, this time the arrangements are simpler and more direct, and the sound is beautifully warm as befits the analogue set up Jerry uses at the Bake House. We'll put up some photos from the sessions on the photo page, but for now there's some photos accompanying one of the tracks at the bottom of the page.
